Livin' the Life of Philly-- And Lots o' Weddings!

So I've been meaning to blog for, well, EVER. But life has been pretty crazy, and so other things take precedence. But I'm back!

A lot has happened since my last blog entry! I finished my second semester of seminary, and did Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) this summer at an elderly living facility network (I got to commute to Allentown twice a week-- 309 and I are now best friends. My gas tank and my wallet, however, are not).

I also went to 4 weddings this summer, and it should have been 5 but my foot was still broken so I didn't go to AJ and Danielle's (sad). I witnessed (in order of photos and chronologically):

Diana and Scott;

Laura and Sebastian;

Dani and Steve; and

Taryn and Christoph

tie the knot and celebrate. And Megan and Joe's wedding is in October. Everyone around me is getting married!!! The amount of my friends' Facebook profile photos that are now wedding pictures is astounding. I guess it's just that time of my life, when 20 (and 30)-somethings get married and settled down. It's just a little disconcerting, though, that I'm watching my friends settle down when my life is still so transient. I have no idea where I'll be for internship in less than a year, and I really have no idea where I'll be for my First Call. Getting married and settling down and getting a job just seems so... foreign when I'm going to be in school/on internship (if things go as planned) for another 3 years. (In retrospect, 3 of the 4 above couples have at least one seminarian, so their lives are a bit transient as well. But still, my friends are married! Holy cow!)

Speaking of the future, I really need to finish up my Endorsement essay-- I'm about halfway done and it's due on September 1st, eek!!! Catch you all later!!
