Jesus Birthday Fun

We sang happy birthday to Jesus today in my Sunday School class, complete with a cake.

Yeah, I'm a huge dork when it comes to Christian holidays.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JESUS!!!!

....And merry Christmas, too. ;)

Making a Word Cloud

Has anyone tried this yet? You type in the web address of your blog, and then the site makes a "word cloud" out of your blog by picking out the words that are used the most and putting them together alphabetically. Basically, it's a psychological foray into your blog. My word cloud is above.

So what does this word cloud say about me????

Philly Fun!

Clare and I went to the Art Museum today, yay!

I'm hoping that some of these pictures won't need explanation, but here goes:
1) Me riding the moose statue in front of the Art Museum
2) Me after I ran up the Art Museum steps, just like Rocky Balboa

3) The Christmas Tree outside the Art Museum, with the Philly skyline

4) Me posing with the Rocky Statue

(You can click on the photos to view them at a larger size!)

ENJOY!!!! :)

This Website is Freaking Amazing!

Try this one on for size:
Simon Says Santa

Just type to Santa what you want him to do, and he'll do it right before your eyes! Amazing procrastination technique...

(Thanks to Allie for sending me this site!!! :))

Let me know what creative things you get Santa to do!!!!!

Advent and Finals Battle it Out... and Advent is Slowly Taking the Lead.

OK, who's bright idea was it to have Advent and finals occur at the same time?? I mean, really. I've got papers and exams coming out of my ears while balancing holiday parties, normal weekly events at church, and about a million hymn sings and concerts (which is probably why my voice is leaving my vocal chords).

When they decided on the church calendar back in the day, they should've consulted Theology students first. Seriously. They're the ones under the most pressure when finals and Advent coincide.

And now that I'm thinking about it, the same thing happens with Easter. Granted, Easter occurs at different times each year, but it's the same type of thing -- a huge church feast at the time of the semester when students are up all night and taking coffee intravenously while frantically typing and/or memorizing facts.

I'm thinking it's a conspiracy.
