Proof that the Muhlenberg family is following me....

So I start seminary in 3 weeks!! For those of you who don't know, I went to MUHLENBERG COLLEGE for my undergrad. I did my Masters at LaSalle University, and now I am beginning yet another Masters degree at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia!!!

This picture shows the statue that stands at the main entrance of LTSP. I'm on the right, with the blue rain jacket on. Notice that the statue is of Henry MUHLENBERG, preaching to the masses. How is it that the Muhlenbergs follow me wherever I go??

Why I will never meet a guy while living in Philly

OK, check this map out. Apparently there are a crazy amount of single women in comparison to single guys in Philly. And the rest of the Northeast sucks too; Boston, NYC, Baltimore, and DC all have the same problem. I am obviously doomed.

I am SO moving to LA.

Ummmm... What?!

My watch battery died yesterday. After work today I went to the nearest mall in the suburbs to get the battery replaced. When I got to the watch store, they told me that it would take about 15-20 minutes to replace the battery. So I went into H & M, figuring that I could waste time trying on clothes.

So I walk in and decide to take the shopping a little more seriously, since there were a whole lot sale signs saying "Buy One Get One Free." As I'm walking around, the woman behind the counter asks me if she can help me. I tell her no, I'm just looking. She says, "OK. I just wanted to let you know that our kids' clothes are also buy one, get one free."

Completely in shock, I just smiled and nodded. What I really wanted to do was yell "Does it LOOK like I have kids????"

I officially feel like an old spinster.

Settling In

Wow, I haven't written in a month! Things have been pretty crazy!

Vacation Bible School was last week, and for the most part it went pretty smoothly. The picture above is of the children finger painting a line of their choice from the song "What a Wonderful World."

I've officially moved into my new apartment! It's really exciting to finally look around the room and say: "I live here now!" I still need a few more pieces of furniture, but for the most part it's all coming together. The second picture above is of my "new" love seat (it's like 30 years old!) that the pastor gave to me-- it's the ugliest piece of furniture I've ever seen, but it's sooooo comfortable! I'm still in emotional shock that I'm actually now living at the seminary, and in less than 6 weeks I'll be a seminarian! Crazy!!

I'm hoping that I'll be able to hang out with friends more often now that I'm more settled in-- between Prolog readings, the last Harry Potter book coming out, and writing my Entrance and CPE essays. :)
